March Newsletter 2017

It is with much regret that unfortunately we have to say goodbye to our chairperson - Christine Thomas - who has been with the charity since its inception in 2006 and one of our long standing trustees Zakera Kali… both individuals have provided a statement for publishing purposes.

It has been a privilege to develop such good working relationships and friendships during past 10 years. My decision to resign as chairperson was taken because I feel that the charity is currently in a strong position, and to give me the opportunity to reduce the number of hours I work. Without the commitment from so many volunteers and trustees, the charity would not be so successful or sustainable. Ongoing commitment from trustees and volunteers combined with community partnership working will inform the future.

I wish every success to the charity as it moves forward with an exciting future.

 Christine Thomas

It is with regret that I am going to have to resign as a trustee at CLASH2012. My work & family commitments have increased incredibly in the past year and look to continue. It has meant that I cannot commit to the position of a trustee.

I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity for being a trustee, I have developed many good friendships and I will miss the time we have all spent. I would like to wish CLASH2012 much success in the future and may it continue to have a positive impact in the community as well as become a sustainable charity.

Best wishes

 Zakera Kali.

Welcome to our new chair…

In the last 10 years, CLASH 2012 has become an amazing charity thanks to the hard work and dedication of Christine Thomas, as well as the trustees, project workers and volunteers. I was proud to be counted amongst them as a trustee for several years before becoming the chairperson at the AGM in February. I have worked with some of you, met most of you and I know that in the spirit of the last 10 years, we can continue to work together to take this charity from strength to strength going in the future. I have some very big shoes to fill after Chris, but I will try my best to maintain what we have created and build upon it when necessary to make it even better.

Conrad McEwan (CLASH 2012 Chairperson)
